Choosing a memorial can sometimes be a daunting task to undertake. We completely understand this and will guide you through every step of the way, making the process as straightforward as possible.
We begin the process with an initial consultation; it really helps to discuss your loved one, and in doing so we gain an insight into their character and start to form ideas and plans for their memorial. Here we will guide you through the different choices of materials, finishes, inscriptions and designs.
Knowing the location for a memorial is important as there are certain restrictions within some burial grounds. Before we begin the consultation we will ask the location for the memorial, so we can work within the regulations of the specific location to make sure a memorial is always accepted.
After the initial consultation, we produce a first drawing for you to review, along with the overall price and application form if needed. If you would like to make any changes or add to the memorial, at this stage changes are welcome to be made.
Once you are happy with the memorial design, we move on to getting permission from the relevant authority.
Receiving authorisation from the burial ground generally takes between two and six weeks. Once permission has been granted, we can start work on your memorial. We will contact you to confirm and give an expected time of completion. At any time during the carving you are welcome to contact us and arrange a visit to the workshop for a viewing.
On completion you will receive a phone call from us confirming the memorial is ready for installation.
You are welcome to come along or wait until the memorial is secure and settled before viewing in its final resting place.
Pricing for memorials depends on material, shape, design and style.
If you would like to discuss a memorial or if you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
